29 september 2019 a cup of tea

i suppose this is the ultimate remedy of english speaking people . . . a simple remedy for the slightest malady or for the worst . . . a comforting physical belief in some kind of being appropriate to all levels of difficulty . . .

i like a nice cup of tea in the morning
and a nice cup of tea with my tea
and when its time for bed
theres a lot to be said
for a nice cup of tea!

the tea that i like is not Indian but chamomile tea . . . but like everyone in the British isles i was probably brought up to drink ordinary tea (often referred to as Indian tea) with milk and sugar . . .

now that it is cooled i can drink it . . . with pleasure and without science or philosophy . . . just blind belief in a leaf in hot water . . .

. . . desisting now from academic explanations that others have inserted a cup of tea as universal . . . even though it may be ineffective . . .
