14 june 2018 in a clearing
sitting in a newly cut clearing of about 50 square metres... surrounded
by brambles... the exposed roots already sprouting branches about 10 to
15 cm long... and this space is occupied by a pair of robins... no bird or
other creature showed itself while i eat my way through a cheese
sandwich... contemplating the peace and silence of this private place
until i notice that one of the robins is causing some of the uncut
surrounding branches to shake or tremble...
... pausing now i await whatever happens... faint sounds of cars above
this place (shielded by trees and bushes),,, and still no human or other
creature walks this path through the clearing...
...but now i hear a bird that coos... and voices from beyond the
surrouding bushes...
...noticing the robins are still flying occasionally from bush to bush i
prepre to get up and walk away... while putting away my glasses and
computer writing pad...
