9 august 2017 unspecialised
living
...in the night came thoughts of living without specialisation... or of
life in which most work is done by self-directed machines that have no
need for people operating as workers... managers... experts... each
paid to attend to parts and not to wholes...
...while those of us concerned with the actual whole are free to do so but only as
unpaid hobbies, sports... or academic puzzles such as 'how to write
about the whole and parts non-dualistically?'...
...today... kept indoors by nearly continuous rain throughout this part
of the city forest... we are attempting to
speak about everything... (while eating chocolate!)...
evening:
after an unexpected internet video discussion* between Italy and London (which
included these thoughts re 'unspecialised living')...
i feel as if at last finding words capable of describing and enacting
what i used to call 'automation' etc... but which now calls for its own
way of being said and done... (eureka!)
...perhaps including 'everything' and 'everyone' who is excluded from
the abstract languages we use in the incomplete realities of technology
and science...
(astonishing as they can be)...
*a video discussion between the families of Sergio Los and
Natasha Pulizer Los with Paul Jones family and myself in Italy and London...
