Parliament Hill

...only a few people here today... one of whom is generating zooming sounds as his kite ascends and descends... against a sky of grey cloud that reaches ground level to the east and to the south... and is overhead here...

...it's hiding the tall buildings in the distance... and now it's condensing at ground level here also... and soon i expect rain...

...but the air is quite warm and sunlight is almost...(words missing)... only four of the ten viewing benches are occupied...

...and a swiftly-walking man smiles and waves as he says 'hello there'... while passing close to where i'm writing...

...now the wind speed has changed and the tall buildings are slowly becoming visible...

...a young man wearing only blue shorts and a backpack pauses to adjust it... then he continues walking...

...the wind speed increases and i decide to continue walking also...

later:

...aware of high quality of work to modernise London Overground as i travel home on it today... reading the latest literature about the improvements (longer trains and platforms and many small ergonomic changes)...

...i feel encouraged by this evident putting of people first... (before profit or managerial convenience)... a slow change in the culture... but positive...
