24 september 2006 the first moments of night

19:25 ... pond 1, in the first moments of night... lights are already on in the houses across the water ...the two swans are asleep on the raft... the ducks are sleeping mid-pond, but some move towards me - perhaps thinking another person has arrived to feed them...

as i look up at the grey and blue sky i see silhouetted bats flying over the water...

the swans are now afloat... they move to the far end of the pond...

...tonight i don't feel able to walk far (i've almost lost the wish to)...

19:33 ...but now, the ducks having returned to their sleeping position and ceased to make sounds... i feel more attuned to be here in the near silence and darkness, and perhaps i now have the energy to walk to Parliament Hill...

...i walked there, enjoying the darkness under the trees and passing a few people... i couldn't see their faces...

29 september
...there were further notes, written on paper in darkness, but i cannot find them... i remember hearing quiet conversations from people sitting on nearby seats... and soon i walked back towards the station...
